Obituary for CARL D. HALL

Carl D. Hall, age 76, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014, at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas.  He was born on July 21, 1937, in Gorman, Texas to Carl Newton and Lena Mae (Ripley) Hall.  On July 5,1958 he was united in marriage to Betty Jean Parkman in Comanche, Texas.  He was a member of Board Baptist Church.  Carl was a spur maker and auctioneer.  For many years, he was active in the Spur and Bit Association and the Comanche Roping Club.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Betty Hall of Comanche; son and daughter-in-law, Wade and wife Betty Hall of Comanche; daughter and son-in-law, Carla and husband Monty Carlisle of Mullin; grandson, Wesley Hall of Stephenville; granddaughter, Kenna Hall of Comanche; grandson, Chance Carlisle of Mullin; grandson and wife, Tate and Danielle Carlisle of Mullin; and numerous cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Newton Hall and Lena Mae (Ripley) Hall.  Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.  Funeral Services will be at the graveside at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 7, at Board Church Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Calcote officiating.    Lunch will be at The Set, 16024 Hwy 36, Comanche, Texas, following the funeral service.   In Lieu of Flowers, Family request memorials to the Comanche Senior Citizens, 209 W. Duncan, Comanche, Texas.
