MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Doug’s name to SPCA OF Texas, 2400 Lone Star Drive, Dallas, Texas 75212; or North Texas Food Bank, 3677 Mapleshade Lane, Plano, Texas 75075.

Douglas Lee Young, age 52, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, in Comanche County, Texas.

He was born on August 28, 1967, in Dallas County, Texas, to Elbert Lee Young and Frances Annette (Cozart) Young. He was a Telecom salesman. Douglas was a loving son, brother and uncle. He enjoyed hunting, fishing boating and cycling. He was an avid sports fan and loved his Dallas Cowboys, Mavericks, Stars, and never missed opening day of the Texas Rangers.

He is survived by his father, Pete Young of Carrollton; sisters: Kim Donaghe and husband Mark of Carrollton and Jennifer Korba and husband Mark of Farmers Branch; brother, Greg Young of Carrollton; niece, McKenna Young; nephew, Christian Young; and many close friends who were like brothers. He was preceded in death by his mother, Annette Young, and his much loved buddy, Tex.

Hey Doogan, Thanks for all the laughs we shared during the Dac days and many others thereafter. You were so full of life and I'm so glad I'm able to call you my friend. One memory I will always have is you lying next to your golf ball that you hit closest to the line during one of the earlier MK tournaments. It was awesome. So hit them long and straight my friend and I'll see you again when God calls me home. Love you buddy.
