Obituary for FRANCES RIPLEY

Frances Ripley, age 92, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2020, in Brownwood, Texas.

She was born on August 23, 1927, in Comanche, Texas, to W. L. and Bessy (Harkins) Brown. On April 20, 1945, she was united in marriage to William “Bill” Ripley in Comanche. He preceded her in death on April 1, 2011. Frances was devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was an excellent homemaker and loved gardening and working in the yard. Frances was a strong woman of character, who always stood up for what she believed. She was a member of the 13 Club in Comanche, which met twice a month to play dominoes. She was a Baptist.

She is survived by her two sons, Mike Ripley of Comanche, and Rodney Ripley and wife Janice of Midland; five grandchildren: Tanya, Penny, Shauna, Sheryl, and Kevin; thirteen great-grandchildren: Savannah, Addison, John, Dustin, Bella, Sofi, Tyler, Shayne, Shaun, Michael, Christina, Hannah, and Sloan; three great-great-grandchildren: Leanna, Atlee, and Gabrielle; and numerous nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by two brothers: Dub Brown and Hollis Ray Brown; one sister, Flossie Mae Stephens; and many friends.
