Gale Coulter, age 86, of Brownwood passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023, in Temple. She was born December 6, 1936, in Gustine, Texas to Ernest and Fannie (Bilbrey) Reese. Gale married Paul Ray Coulter December 20, 1954, and he preceded her in death on January 15, 2014. She was a daycare owner for 47 years where she helped raise multiple generations of children. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother and a bonus mom to many. Gale was an excellent seamstress and quilter. She loved to shop, especially when she was with her granddaughters. Gale was an avid Baylor Bear Womens Basketball fan and was known to provide her own commentary.

Gale was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Beverly Ann Coulter; son, Stephen Kirk Coulter; and brother, Charles Reese; and sister, Barbara Wilson. She is survived by her daughter, Paulette Coulter of Brownwood; son and daughter in law, Ron and Debbie Coulter of Comanche; sister, Wanda Christesson of New York; grandchildren and spouses, Derek and Shana Bullard of Brownwood, Gary and Cayme Hollis of Hamilton, Josh and Lindsey Serrato of Comanche, Jason and Kayde Sarabia of Rising Star, Hunter Coulter of Austin, and Tyler and Kandi Coulter of Brownwood; great grandchildren, Andrew, Maliah, Hannah, Noah, Luke, Kenzie, Madi, Greyson, Aislyn, Jaynell, Ce ‘Erin, Gracie, Tony and Angie; great-great grandchildren, Aubrey and Freya.
