Obituary for JEANNIE HILLEY

Jeannie Lee Hilley was born February 13, 1953 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Edward "Bud" and Wanda Davidson and passed away peacefully January 2, 2023 after a lengthy illness.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday, February 11 at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 4174 US Highway 281, Stephenville, Texas.

Jeannie developed a strong faith as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and enjoyed sharing the truths she learned from the Bible with others. She symbolized her Christian dedication by water baptism on April 25, 1987.

She married Arlen "Lee" Hilley December 17, 1983, staying devoted to him until his death in 2021.

Jeannie attended Dublin college where she earned her nursing degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Following in her mother's footsteps, she was a devoted nurse for many years, administering tireless care to her patients as if they were her own family.

She loved to spend time with her family, especially at Proctor Lake. She also loved to crochet, a hobby for which she had an immense talent. Many family members and friends have examples of her crocheted lace, potholders or one of her brightly colored afghans that she so often worked feverishly on as tokens of her love and appreciation.

Jeannie was preceded in death by her dear husband Lee, her brother Edward "Lee" Davidson and grandparents.
She was a kind, devoted and loving woman whose no-nonsense wit and special brand of advice will not quickly be forgotten. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Justin Fronterhouse and wife Jean of Shreveport, Louisiana, Michael Fronterhouse and wife Misty of Stephenville and her 2 children from her second marriage whom she raised as her own Joel Hilley and wife Lulu of Plano, daughter Amber Layland and husband Chris of Choctaw, Oklahoma;10 grandchildren - Allen, Zekyla, Sadey, Ivan, Aiden, Azaliah, Madison, Sarah, Morgan and Meghan; parents Wanda and Bud Davidson; sisters Connie Brown and husband Daryle, Jane Celaya and husband Nick, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and spiritual family that will miss her dearly.

Jeannie had a firm hope in Jehovah God's promise that the Earth will, in the near future, be a paradise once more. It's in this future paradise her family and friends look forward to welcoming her back to a perfect life while watching all of God's promises come true.
