Obituary for SECUNDINO "DINO" MIRELES Jr.

Secundino (Dino) Mireles Jr., 80, of Comanche Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.

Dino was born in Seguin, Texas to Secundino Sr. and Concepcion Mireles. He was united in marriage to the love of his life Dolores in 1963 and they were to celebrate 60 years of marriage this year. Their marriage was blessed with four children.

Dino was employed by Comanche ISD in the maintenance department up until his retirement in 2009. He served 35 years for the school district.

Dino had a great sense of humor and a big heart. He loved his family and his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He loved helping others. He would gladly do without so that someone else wouldn’t have to. Dino had a passion for music and was an exceptionally talented accordion player. He loved playing his guitar and singing at the House of Prayer Church and at local events lifting up the name of Jesus. Coming to know Christ was his greatest accomplishment. He loved working with his hands and would spend countless hours in his workshop. He was truly loved and will be greatly missed.

Dino is survived by his wife, Dolores Mireles; one son, Secundino Mireles lll (Wanda); three daughters, Alice Aguirre (Amadello), Theresa Losoya (Israel), and Sylvia Griffith (Joel); one sister, Mary Morales; four brothers, Raymundo Mireles, Juan Mireles, Ray Mireles, and Joe Mireles; grandchildren, Ashley Gonzales, Nathan Mireles, Izaias Mireles, Aja Pena, Sable Ortega, Allison Waliky, Chris Aguirre, Jennifer Larson, Kristin Losoya, Christopher Griffith, Maegan Faulkner, and Molly Griffith; and numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Dino is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ralph Mireles; two sisters, Yolanda Ugalde and Maria Suzanna Herrera.
